About the Role
AUT Energy Resources Limited is an indigenous Nigerian oil, gas, engineering, construction, and logistics servicing company. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Lead Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership for the planning, design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of civil and structural infrastructure projects within our dynamic operations. In this role, you will oversee project execution, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise civil and structural engineering activities across multiple projects and operational sites.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to civil engineers, site supervisors, and contractors.
- Manage the planning, design, execution, and maintenance of civil infrastructure, including buildings, foundations, roads, drainage systems, and industrial facilities.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, technical specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Ensure all civil and structural works comply with applicable engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, quality assessments, and performance evaluations to achieve project objectives.
- Coordinate with Operations, HSE, Procurement, Contractors, and Clients to facilitate successful project delivery.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient execution.
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards throughout project lifecycles.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role within the oil, gas, construction, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, roads, drainage systems, and industrial infrastructure.
- Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or equivalent tools.
- COREN registration and membership of relevant professional bodies such as the NSE will be a distinct advantage.
