About the Role
The Katsina State Government invites qualified and dynamic professionals to apply for the position of Film Producer on Grade Level 08 (GL 08). In this role, you will play a pivotal part in conceptualizing, shooting, and editing high-quality cinematic and documentary content that showcases the rich heritage, agricultural advancements, and governmental initiatives of Katsina State. We are looking for a creative storyteller with a passion for public service and visual communication to join our vibrant media team.
Key Responsibilities- Conceptualize, direct, and produce engaging films, documentaries, and promotional video content for the Katsina State Government.
- Collaborate with scriptwriters, camera operators, and editors to ensure high production standards.
- Manage pre-production, production, and post-production schedules and budgets effectively.
- Cover state events, developmental projects, and cultural festivals for broadcast and archival purposes.
- Ensure all media productions align with the communication objectives and values of the state government.
- Maintain and manage film equipment inventory and oversee proper storage.
- BSc. in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Must be an indigene of Katsina State.
- Must be between 18 and 49 years old.
- Must possess a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Must successfully pass the mandatory merit-based recruitment test.
- Strong portfolio of previous film or video production work is an added advantage.
