About the Role
Proforce Limited, a premier total defence solution provider specializing in armoured vehicles and personal protection, is seeking skilled, precision-driven Welders to join our engineering and manufacturing team. Based at our advanced production facility in Ode Remo, Ogun State, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural vehicle components, chassis, and armored plating to meet rigorous military-grade and automotive industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-precision MIG, TIG, SMAW, and spot welding on structural steel, aluminum alloys, and heavy armored plating.
- Fit, align, tack-weld, and fully assemble chassis frameworks, vehicle body structures, and protective armor kits according to engineering specifications.
- Read, analyze, and execute work directly from technical engineering drawings, structural blueprints, and standard welding symbols.
- Inspect completed welds for structural integrity, penetration, porosity, and overall compliance with strict quality control standards.
- Maintain welding machinery, gas regulators, and cutting equipment while adhering strictly to workshop safety protocols and wearing full PPE.
- Perform gouging, grinding, and re-welding to repair structural or surface defects identified during quality assessments.
- Minimum of a NABTEB, Trade Test Class 1, OND, or HND in Welding Engineering, Fabrication Technology, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on welding experience in structural fabrication, automotive manufacturing, or defense assembly operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in metallurgy, material science, and international welding codes such as AWS standards.
- Professional welding certification is a distinct added advantage.
