About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Manager - Receiving for our Ibese plant in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee all inbound warehouse activities, ensuring that materials, spare parts, and consumables are received, inspected, and documented with absolute precision and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily receiving operations including offloading, physical inspection, weighing, and acceptance of incoming materials.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, packing lists, and delivery notes for precise quantity and quality assurance.
- Manage non-conformances, damaged goods, shortages, and overages by coordinating swiftly with Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Logistics.
- Execute accurate and timely recording of receipts into ERP or WMS platforms and generate Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
- Oversee quarantine areas for suspect materials and enforce strict adherence to return or disposal guidelines.
- Lead, mentor, and roster receiving staff while championing a zero-incident safety culture around material handling equipment.
- Coordinate inbound vehicle scheduling to minimize traffic congestion and reduce demurrage costs.
- Maintain a clean, organized receiving bay and robust documentation filing systems to support routine inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Bachelor Degree (B.Sc. or HND) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in warehouse and stores receiving operations within heavy industry, manufacturing, or the cement sector.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role managing warehouse teams.
- Working proficiency in ERP and WMS systems, with direct experience in SAP or Oracle being a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and a practical understanding of industrial HSE regulations.
