About the Role
Cedarcrest Hospitals, a leading specialist medical care centre in Abuja, is seeking a dynamic and organized Head of Drivers to oversee our transport department. In this vital role, you will manage a team of professional drivers, coordinate logistics, and maintain our vehicle fleet to support our commitment to exceptional patient care and seamless hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, schedule, and evaluate the daily performance of all hospital drivers.
- Ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of medical personnel, patients, and hospital materials.
- Maintain comprehensive logs for vehicle maintenance, fueling, repairs, and trip schedules.
- Enforce strict adherence to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company driving policies.
- Coordinate regular servicing and prompt repairs of the hospital fleet to minimize downtime.
- Provide prompt reports on logistics issues and transport-related incidents to management.
- Minimum of an SSCE or relevant academic qualification with a valid professional driver licence.
- At least 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably within a corporate or healthcare environment.
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience managing a team of drivers.
- Excellent defensive driving skills with an impeccable safety record and knowledge of Abuja routes.
