About the Role
Pragmatic Technologies, the home of the trusted PRAG brand, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Solar Technician to join our growing engineering team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in deploying high-quality solar power systems, ensuring optimal performance, and delivering exceptional service to our valued B2B and B2C customers nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Install solar panels, inverters, lithium and lead-acid batteries, charge controllers, breakers, and related electrical protection devices.
- Perform proper DC and AC cabling, terminations, earthing, and overall system connections in compliance with design specifications.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing faults relating to wiring, panels, inverters, and battery banks.
- Perform thorough system testing, measure voltage and current outputs, and successfully commission newly installed solar systems.
- Adhere strictly to company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, utilizing proper PPE and safe working practices at heights.
- Complete accurate installation, maintenance, and service reports while providing basic operational guidance to customers on site.
- Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or trade test certification in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Proven hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic power systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical diagrams, DC/AC circuits, wiring standards, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively at heights and handle physical installation tasks across various weather conditions.
