About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a leading name in the Nigerian healthcare and pharmaceutical industry known for trusted household brands like Vitaclox and Inbu, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Officer. Based at our ultra-modern facility in Makun City, Ogun State, this role ensures all raw materials, packaging, in-process goods, and finished pharmaceutical products meet stringent regulatory, pharmacopoeial, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct rigorous physical, chemical, and microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process items, and finished dosage forms.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC systems, UV-visible spectrophotometers, and analytical balances.
- Accurately record all test data adhering strictly to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and data integrity protocols.
- Immediately identify and report out-of-specification (OOS) or out-of-trend (OOT) results to the QC Manager.
- Participate actively in laboratory investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of CAPA.
- Ensure full compliance with NAFDAC regulations, safety guidelines, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- B.Sc. or HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
- Demonstrated practical experience in quality control within a reputable pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and pharmacopoeial standards.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
