About the Role
Proforce Limited is a leading total defence solution provider specializing in the manufacturing of armored vehicles and personal protection equipment. We are currently seeking a precision-driven Painter to join our production and finishing team at our advanced manufacturing facility in Ode Remo, Ogun State. In this role, you will apply military-grade and automotive coatings to commercial, tactical, and specialized armored vehicles, ensuring superior protection and flawless finishes in accordance with strict international standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough surface preparation including cleaning, degreasing, sanding, masking, and chemical treatment of metal and armored steel.
- Mix and apply primers, basecoats, clearcoats, anti-corrosion barriers, and specialized camouflage patterns using pneumatic spray equipment.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain high-volume low-pressure (HVLP) spray guns, pressure tanks, air compressors, and heat-curing booths.
- Conduct rigorous quality and finish inspections to check for coating thickness, adhesion, gloss levels, and surface defects.
- Adhere strictly to occupational health and safety protocols, managing hazardous waste disposal and utilizing proper PPE.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on automotive or industrial spray painting experience within a heavy equipment, manufacturing, or vehicle body shop environment.
- Possession of NABTEB, Trade Test Class 1, OND, or HND/B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- In-depth technical knowledge of automotive paint chemistry, polyurethane, epoxy, and specialized protective coatings.
- Demonstrated expertise in operating pneumatic spray tools with excellent hand-eye coordination and color perception.
