About the Role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a prominent leader in the Nigerian manufacturing sector, is seeking a diligent and analytical Management Accountant for its Golden Sugar Company (GSC Sunti) operations. In this critical role, you will provide accurate management accounting, financial analysis, and operational reporting to empower strategic decision-making across our agricultural, factory, and support units.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts within strict reporting deadlines.
- Drive the monthly financial close process, encompassing accruals, provisions, prepayments, inventory adjustments, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Evaluate financial performance, variances, trends, and key cost drivers to guide executive management.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and Latest Estimates.
- Conduct detailed analyses of agricultural and cane production costs, as well as factory and sugar processing expenses.
- Monitor workshop and maintenance overheads, delivering actionable cost insights by work centre.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Active professional membership in ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
- Minimum of 5 years of cognate experience, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG sector.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or equivalent ERP systems, alongside advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
