About the Role
Recore Limited, a leading human resources and outsourcing firm in Nigeria, is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our kitchen by assisting chefs, maintaining strict hygiene standards, and preparing quality meals. Key Responsibilities- Assist the head chef with daily food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen, including utensils, cooking equipment, and work surfaces.
- Support meal plating, serving processes, and general kitchen operations during peak hours.
- Ensure the proper storage, labeling, and handling of all food items in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and promptly report any shortages to the Kitchen Supervisor.
- Strictly comply with all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
- Perform additional kitchen duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the management team.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification from a recognized institution.
- Previous working experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or catering service is an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently under pressure.
