About the Role
Taghini Foods, a leading traditional poultry processing company based in Ibadan, is looking for a dedicated Internal Control Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our assets, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining strict compliance with company policies across our farm estates and processing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily stock reconciliation at the front end and verify physical supplies from consumables and perishable material vendors.
- Audit Product Transfer Notes (PTN) against Product Movement Forms (PMF) and oversee monthly stock-taking exercises.
- Conduct periodic verification of tools, equipment, and company assets while reconciling farm stock and store items.
- Review daily farm reports to analyze shortages and excesses, and generate comprehensive Farm Material Usage Reports (FMUR).
- Monitor and enforce compliance with established business processes through pre-transaction, during-process, and post-transaction reviews.
- Provide internal surveillance oversight and participate in special investigations as required by management.
- Collaborate with management, field staff, and veterinarians to improve farm performance, bird welfare, and business outcomes.
- Ensure all farm records remain up to date with absolute accuracy while adhering to accounting and safety standards.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in internal control, stock auditing, or inventory management, preferably within the agricultural or food processing sector.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and high numerical accuracy.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, auditing procedures, and inventory control methodologies.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills with the ability to work collaboratively alongside farm management and field teams.
