About the Role
Genesis Group is a wholly Nigerian-owned catering, hospitality, and entertainment conglomerate with business interests spanning hotels, restaurants, cinemas, shopping malls, real estate, and industrial catering. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Internal Control / Audit Manager (ACA) to strengthen our financial governance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive risk-based internal audits, process walkthroughs, and operational or financial reviews across all core business units.
- Assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring strict segregation of duties and proper access permissions.
- Identify operational, financial, and regulatory risks utilizing recognized frameworks such as COSO.
- Investigate suspected irregularities by reviewing physical and electronic records and reconciling physical inventory to book records.
- Document audit findings clearly, preparing detailed reports for executive management and tracking issue remediation.
- Liaise seamlessly with external auditors, department heads, and executive leadership to promote corporate transparency and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory professional certification as a Chartered Accountant (ACA).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of cognate experience in internal audit, internal control, or financial assurance, preferably within hospitality, retail, or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
