The University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Intern Radiographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. Key Responsibilities- Assist senior radiographers in performing diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety protocols are strictly followed during procedures.
- Prepare patients by explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing any clinical anxieties.
- Maintain, sterilize, and troubleshoot medical imaging equipment within the department.
- Accurately document patient records and assist in the management of daily department workflows.
- Adhere strictly to professional ethics, hospital policies, and safety standards set by regulatory bodies.
- Must possess a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Medical Radiography from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
- Must be fully registered with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN) and hold a valid practicing license.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic medical record management.
