About the Role
Proten International is a leading Human Capital Development firm offering comprehensive training, coaching, and consulting services across Europe and Africa. We are currently recruiting a dynamic and results-driven Head of Operations for our client in the Trade and Manufacturing sector. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across retail, warehouse, production, distribution, and facility operations. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement robust operational strategies aligned with the overarching business objectives of the organization.
- Oversee and streamline day-to-day retail, warehouse, production, logistics, and facility management operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes, productivity, cost efficiency, and overall profitability.
- Manage departmental budgets, inventory levels, equipment maintenance schedules, and optimal resource allocation.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and industry-specific operational standards.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise departmental managers and cross-functional operations teams to foster a culture of accountability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), implement corrective action plans, and report regular progress to executive management.
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive operations experience, with at least 5 years operating in a senior managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise managing multi-site operations spanning manufacturing, warehousing, retail, or distribution sectors.
- Advanced knowledge of operational strategy, inventory control, cost management, and lean process improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and interpersonal management skills.
- Possession of relevant professional certifications is required, while an MBA or advanced degree will be an added advantage.
