About the Role
Abuja Data School, the leading academy for data analysis and tech training in Abuja, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Cybersecurity Instructor to join our growing team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the next generation of cybersecurity professionals by delivering high-impact, practical training in a conducive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver comprehensive cybersecurity courses, including engaging lectures, hands-on labs, and real-world projects.
- Cover core industry domains such as application security, network security, and information security.
- Prepare up-to-date teaching materials and continuously refine curriculum content to reflect evolving industry practices and threats.
- Assess learner performance regularly, providing personalized feedback, mentorship, and guidance.
- Help students build practical skills using essential cybersecurity tools, frameworks, and defense techniques.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Abuja Data School's technical training programs.
- Strong foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and information security best practices.
- Practical expertise in network security, secure network design, monitoring, and incident response.
- Hands-on experience in application security, including secure coding principles and vulnerability assessment.
- Familiarity with malware analysis, basic reverse engineering, and defensive strategies.
- Prior teaching, training, or technical mentoring experience.
- Exceptional ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to learners of diverse backgrounds.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
- Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
