About the Role
Dunn & Braxton is a dynamic team of seasoned professionals dedicated to helping our clients achieve their strategic objectives through excellence and innovation. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Officer to join our growing operations in Ibadan. In this critical role, you will oversee construction projects, manage vendor relationships, and ensure that all new store openings and renovations meet our rigorous standards for quality, budget, and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities- Review and approve construction company offers and invoices for new stores and renovations.
- Supervise ongoing construction activities to ensure strict compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Evaluate and determine the cost of parts and materials used by contractors.
- Manage quality claims, vet potential construction partners, and reject unsuitable contractors.
- Advise the Sales and Expansion Managers on layout options and recommend new construction partners.
- Conduct regular on-site reviews of maintenance activities and propose updates to the Construction Manual.
- Identify serious site risks or failures promptly and coordinate effective solutions with the Expansion Manager.
- Minimum of a B.Sc. in Architecture.
- At least 5 years of professional experience as an in-house trained Architect and Project Manager on construction sites.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in project costing and construction management.
- In-depth knowledge of design policies, international specifications, building regulations, and construction details.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and MS Project.
- Must reside in Ibadan.
