About the Role
Heart For Humanity Initiative (HHI) is a dynamic, women-led, and youth-driven non-governmental organization committed to fostering resilience and improving the well-being of vulnerable populations throughout Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dedicated Community Engagement Specialist to build strong local partnerships, amplify our outreach efforts, and champion our sustainable development programs. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary bridge between our organization and the grassroots communities we serve, ensuring our initiatives effectively restore hope and transform lives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and evaluate community outreach strategies that align with the organizational goals of Heart For Humanity Initiative.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with local stakeholders, community leaders, youth groups, and women associations.
- Facilitate focus groups, town halls, and sensitization workshops to identify community needs and gather valuable feedback.
- Collaborate with project teams to monitor the progress of sustainable development programs and ensure active community participation.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on engagement activities, community feedback, and program impact metrics for management review.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven experience in community mobilization, advocacy, or NGO project implementation within Nigeria.
- Exceptional interpersonal, public speaking, and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Proficiency in local languages relevant to our operational areas is a distinct advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of project management tools and stakeholder engagement methodologies.
