About the Role
Strengthening Advocacy and Resilience for Vulnerable Communities Initiative (SARVCI) is seeking a dedicated and creative Communications and Digital Media Officer to join our dynamic team based in Maiduguri, Borno State. In this role, you will play a vital part in transforming our vision into reality by developing clear, accurate, and engaging communications that highlight our life-changing humanitarian work and strengthen our public presence across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare comprehensive content calendars and coordinate timely publication across all SARVCI social media channels.
- Write, edit, and publish compelling programme updates, organisational announcements, and impactful human-interest stories.
- Design professional branded graphics, curate photographs, and produce short videos for digital outreach.
- Gather programme data from field teams, rigorously verifying names, dates, figures, and claims prior to publication.
- Maintain consistent organisational branding, tone, and messaging across all digital and print platforms.
- Monitor audience engagement metrics and prepare insightful performance reports with actionable recommendations.
- Ensure strict adherence to consent, confidentiality, and safeguarding protocols when utilizing community stories, photographs, and quotations.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in communications, digital media, content production, or social media management.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a talent for clearly articulating humanitarian initiatives.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, alongside basic video editing skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing institutional social media accounts and interpreting audience analytics.
- Strong coordination, organizational skills, and meticulous attention to factual accuracy and deadlines.
