About the Role
Bradfield Consulting is recruiting a visionary and commercially astute Commercial Director to provide executive leadership across all commercial operations for our client in the Nigerian FMCG sector. The successful candidate will spearhead revenue growth, optimize route-to-market strategies, and scale distribution networks to achieve long-term profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to drive sustainable revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability.
- Lead sales, distribution, marketing, trade marketing, customer development, and revenue management functions.
- Build and optimize distribution networks and route-to-market strategies across open-market, informal trade, and modern retail channels.
- Oversee pricing strategies, promotional activities, and trade investments to maximize brand equity and portfolio growth.
- Lead sales forecasting, demand planning, budgeting, and performance management processes.
- Build and mentor a high-performing commercial team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive FMCG commercial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Nigerian trade dynamics, distributor models, and packaged-food commercialization.
- Exceptional strategic planning, financial acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
