We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership and oversee our comprehensive financial operations across engineering, construction, and related business verticals in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic financial advice to management on business performance, investments, funding, and corporate growth opportunities.
- Lead budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management to support profitability.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor project budgets, contract costs, cash flows, and financial commitments across engineering and construction projects.
- Establish effective cost control measures and monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
- Manage banking relationships, treasury operations, working capital, and overall funding requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory deductions, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls, financial policies, and risk management systems.
- Coordinate internal and external audits while ensuring the timely implementation of audit recommendations.
- Provide financial oversight for procurement, subcontractor payments, project claims, and client billing.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the high-performing Finance and Accounts team.
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master degree is an added advantage.
- Active membership in a recognized professional accounting body such as ICAN or ACCA.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in project-based businesses such as engineering, construction, or electrical infrastructure.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software, financial management systems, and Microsoft Excel.
