About the Role
Proforce Limited, a global leader in defence solutions and armored vehicle manufacturing, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Auto-Electrician to join our dynamic engineering team at our state-of-the-art facility in Ode Remo, Ogun State. In this crucial role, you will ensure the operational readiness of advanced tactical and heavy-duty vehicles by working on complex electrical wiring, electronic control systems, and specialized tactical hardware.
Key Responsibilities- Install, route, and connect low-voltage and high-voltage electrical wiring harnesses, circuit breakers, and relays across vehicle chassis.
- Integrate specialized auxiliary electrical systems including sirens, communication gear, thermal sensors, and battery management systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical shorts, grounding issues, and signal faults using advanced diagnostic tools and OBD scanners.
- Maintain dual-battery setups, heavy-duty alternators, power inverters, and auxiliary power distribution blocks.
- Read, interpret, and adhere strictly to automotive electrical wiring schematics and technical assembly manuals.
- Conduct rigorous pre-delivery electrical checks and functional load tests on completed vehicles to guarantee extreme operational reliability.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on auto-electrical experience in vehicle assembly plants, heavy equipment maintenance, or specialized vehicle modification.
- Educational background including NABTEB, Trade Test Class 1, OND, or HND/B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding of DC circuits, CAN bus protocols, multiplexing, engine management systems, and electronic control units.
- Exceptional manual precision in crimping, soldering, wire harness fabrication, and adherence to vehicle safety standards.
