About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established private university located in Oke-Ila Orangun, Osun State, currently operating from its take-off site in Osogbo, Nigeria. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in June 2026, our institution is dedicated to expanding access to quality higher education and preparing future leaders for a dynamic global environment. We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Associate Professor in Public Health to join the Faculty of Allied and Health Science and contribute to our pioneering academic community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Public Health.
- Supervise postgraduate research students at the Master's and PhD levels.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide academic leadership within the Faculty of Allied and Health Science, contributing to curriculum development and program enhancement.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Mentor junior academic staff and foster a culture of academic rigor, innovation, and ethical research.
- Possess a PhD Degree in Public Health or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
- Demonstrate a minimum of nine (9) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Provide robust evidence of academic leadership and successful supervision of postgraduate students.
- Must have a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications in reputable local and international journals.
