About the Role
Mulligan Hotel, a prestigious Nigerian group of companies operating in retail, hospitality, and property, is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress. In this role, you will be the face of our hospitality brand, ensuring every guest receives prompt, courteous, and efficient service in our bar, lounge, and restaurant areas. Key Responsibilities- Welcome and seat guests promptly while maintaining a friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, inputting them efficiently into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Prepare, mix, and garnish beverages according to established recipes, portion controls, and quality standards.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of wine selections, beer services, cocktails, spirits, and the complete lounge menu.
- Process guest billings, handle cash, and operate credit and debit card machines accurately.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables, ensuring all cutlery, glassware, and crockery are properly polished.
- Maintain fully stocked, clean, and organized bar and lounge stations throughout the shift.
- Anticipate guest needs, build positive rapport, and resolve any guest feedback or incidents swiftly.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including inventory checks, equipment upkeep, and security checklists.
- Minimum of an OND, Hotel Management Diploma, or equivalent relevant qualification.
- 1 to 2 years of proven experience as a Waiter, Waitress, or Steward in a full-service hotel or upscale restaurant.
- Strong working knowledge of POS systems, wine service, and basic cashiering procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional presentation.
