About the Role
JMG, a market leader in power generation and industrial solutions in Nigeria, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Coordinator to join our growing logistics team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and longevity of our commercial transport fleet by overseeing all aspects of tyre management, from routine inspections to inventory control and cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Manage comprehensive tyre inventory, issuance, replacement, and maintenance records across all company vehicles.
- Perform tyre repairs, changes, and rotations on heavy-duty trucks and trailers to maintain fleet safety standards.
- Monitor tyre mileage, performance metrics, and cost-per-kilometer to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports on tyre consumption, repair history, and overall performance for management review.
- Support strategic tyre procurement decisions and recommend optimal tyre placements for various operational routes.
- OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a relevant technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of proven professional experience in tyre maintenance specifically for heavy-duty trucks.
- Extensive technical knowledge of tyre brands, load ratings, pressure standards, and advanced repair techniques.
- Prior working experience in logistics, haulage, or commercial transport sectors will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and generate actionable reports.
