About the Role
TAG Energy Nigeria Limited is an integrated service company offering a comprehensive range of oilfield products and support services in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Tubing Bender to ensure the highest standards of precision and safety in our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform precision bending and shaping of tubing using manual, hydraulic, and mechanical tubing-bending equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, tubing layouts, specifications, and bending schedules to determine required dimensions and angles.
- Measure, mark, cut, and bend tubing to specified dimensions while maintaining required tolerances without kinking or flattening.
- Carry out tubing installation, routing, alignment, and fitting in accordance with approved project specifications.
- Ensure tubing connections, fittings, and joints are correctly installed, secured, and leak-free.
- Assist with pressure and leak testing of completed tubing installations.
- Maintain tubing-bending tools and equipment in optimal working condition and report any faults promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures, work permits, and safe working practices.
- OND, HND, technical qualification, or relevant vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, Pipe Fitting, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience as a Tubing Bender, Tube Fitter, or Pipe Fitter within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers and angle gauges.
- Strong understanding of tubing materials, sizes, bend radii, and installation methods.
