About the Role
Jaza Energy, the last mile energy company building solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities, is looking for a driven Star Development Coordinator to join our growing team in Abuja. In this pivotal role, you will champion our expansion efforts by acquiring, training, and onboarding competent Jaza Stars (Sales Agents) to manage our community hubs. Key Responsibilities- Drive the end-to-end recruitment process by advertising open Jaza Star positions, managing candidate pipelines, and scheduling interviews for new expansion sites.
- Conduct thorough in-person interviews, classroom training, and on-site training to ensure candidates possess the necessary technical skills and cultural alignment.
- Evaluate training effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with QA Expansion Operations to keep training materials current.
- Manage comprehensive onboarding workflows, including registering new hires on the Dashboard, setting up Star App accounts, and executing employment contracts.
- Maintain accurate documentation by updating the Jaza Star registry and securely filing all onboarding records on company drives.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with proven experience in rural talent acquisition and community-based recruitment.
- Strong ability to leverage local networks, community connections, and regional job boards to source qualified candidates.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting in-person interviews and assessing candidates for technical capability and cultural fit.
- Exceptional problem-solving and planning skills to navigate hiring challenges in resource-limited or remote environments.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust within close-knit rural communities.
- Familiarity with local languages or dialects and a willingness to travel frequently to remote project locations.
