About the Role
Sevan Construction Nigeria Limited, a premier steel fabrication and civil engineering company established in 1981, is seeking a meticulous Spray Painter to join our workshop team in Lagos. In this role, you will apply protective and decorative finishes to a wide range of steel structures, semi-trailers, and rigid bodies, ensuring exceptional quality and durability on every project.
Key Responsibilities- Smooth and prepare metal surfaces by sanding, priming, and removing old paint or rust.
- Fill imperfections such as cracks, joints, and holes with appropriate fillers to ensure an even base.
- Mix and match paints and pigments accurately to meet specific client color requirements.
- Apply coatings efficiently using spray guns, brushes, or rollers while adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect completed jobs to ensure flawless finishes and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Operate, maintain, and store painting equipment, tools, and chemicals safely according to company guidelines.
- Manage material inventory, complete work orders, and maintain accurate records of supplies.
- Report any unsafe working conditions immediately and strictly adhere to all workshop health and safety protocols.
- Proven experience as a Spray Painter, specifically within a steel fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial workshop environment.
- Strong knowledge of paint mixing, surface preparation, and various application techniques.
- Ability to operate and perform preventive maintenance on spray guns and related equipment.
- Proximity to Illupeju, Anthony, and surrounding areas in Lagos State is required.
