About the Role
Power Ark Infrastructure Ltd is a leading provider of end-to-end photovoltaic and energy storage solutions, empowering developing markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Solar Installation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ikeja, Lagos. In this hands-on technical role, you will independently execute the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced solar PV and battery energy storage systems, helping us bridge the energy gap for businesses and households.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive site surveys, precise load calculations, and accurate solar system sizing.
- Install and configure solar panels, inverters, lithium batteries, charge controllers, and related electrical equipment.
- Perform electrical wiring, rigorous system testing, commissioning, and performance verification.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, communication, and system integration faults efficiently.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance while applying working knowledge of ATS, STS, EMS, and battery management systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with approved designs, manufacturer specifications, and electrical safety standards.
- Prepare detailed installation, commissioning, and maintenance reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-NYSC core solar installation experience.
- Proven ability to independently install, configure, commission, and troubleshoot solar PV and lithium battery systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, load calculations, and system sizing.
- Exceptional technical problem-solving skills and thorough understanding of electrical safety procedures.
