About the Role
Minim and Tonye Nigeria Limited is a premier Nigerian infrastructural development and engineering firm delivering reliable, compliant solutions in civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering for onshore and offshore oil and gas sectors. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Subject Matter Expert in Process & Control Systems to provide visionary technical leadership, independent assurance, and specialist advisory services for complex upstream oil and gas operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct rigorous technical reviews and assurance of process engineering designs, process safety systems, and production facility configurations.
- Review critical engineering documentation including process design philosophies, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and process calculations.
- Assess the adequacy, safety, and reliability of instrumentation, automation, and control system designs including DCS, SCADA, and PLCs.
- Lead and participate in process safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL assessments, and other vital risk evaluations.
- Evaluate process optimization, production efficiency, facility reliability, and operational performance against international standards.
- Ensure full alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company engineering guidelines.
- Provide expert technical mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior and mid-level engineering staff.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field will be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 25 years of cumulative international upstream oil and gas industry experience.
- Extensive hands-on expertise in process engineering, production facilities, instrumentation, and automation systems within onshore and offshore environments.
- Strong command of process safety management, facility design, and operational assurance frameworks.
- Proven background working in technical or operational roles with major or medium-sized International Oil Companies (IOCs).
