About the Role
Jaza Energy, the last mile energy company building solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities, is seeking a talented Regional Service Engineer (RSE) for Ogun State. In this pivotal role, you will manage a dynamic team of Field Service Engineers, oversee technical operations, and guarantee uninterrupted power at our rapidly expanding South-West Nigeria hubs. Key Responsibilities- Oversee Field Service Engineers (FSEs) in setting up new hubs, ensuring seamless connectivity, and conducting regular maintenance on solar energy systems.
- Report directly to the Technical Manager to ensure efficient coordination and strict adherence to technical protocols.
- Lead, coach, and mentor FSEs on industry best practices through regular training and professional development initiatives.
- Review FSE reports on hub energy performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure rapid resolution.
- Collate and share monthly power availability and performance review reports with the management team.
- Collaborate closely with Jaza Stars, Regional Coordinators, NOC data teams, and FSEs to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on technical and engineering leadership experience within the solar energy, telecommunications, or related industries.
- Deep understanding of and proven expertise in solar installation, maintenance, electrical design, and HSE compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software, including the MS Office suite.
- Ability to work independently and travel frequently across Nigeria to support regional expansion.
