About the Role
Moniepoint Inc. is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by providing innovative payment, banking, and business management tools. We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Regional Security Officer to join our team in Kano. In this role, you will act as the guardian of our physical spaces, ensuring every regional office remains a secure and productive sanctuary for our team members and assets.
Key Responsibilities- Implement comprehensive security policies to protect personnel, offices, and equipment across the assigned region.
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and design robust risk-mitigation strategies.
- Supervise, train, and mentor private security guards and armed personnel to ensure optimal performance.
- Serve as the primary liaison with local law enforcement, community leaders, and emergency response services.
- Lead investigations into security breaches or incidents, delivering factual and actionable reports.
- Deploy and maintain modern security technologies, including CCTV surveillance and access control systems.
- Support business resilience through expert guidance on asset recovery and fraud investigation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience leading security teams in a physical security company or as an ex-commissioned service personnel in the military, police, or paramilitary.
- Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline.
- Recognized professional security certifications such as CPP, PSP, or CPO.
- Proficiency in local dialects spoken in the Kano region to effectively engage with community stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in operating automated security and surveillance systems.
- Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
