About the Role
Alan & Grant is recruiting a Quality Coordinator on behalf of our client, an indigenous Oil and Gas Engineering and Construction company specializing in pipelines and facilities. We are seeking a dedicated professional to coordinate the implementation of project quality management systems and ensure that all activities, materials, and deliverables comply with strict industry standards and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the implementation of project quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.
- Ensure construction and engineering activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate quality inspections, tests, audits, and verification activities with relevant project teams.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, inspectors, and project personnel on quality-related matters.
- Review quality records, inspection reports, material certificates, test results, and other documentation.
- Monitor the identification, documentation, and resolution of non-conformances.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions and track their closure to prevent rework.
- Ensure materials and equipment meet specified quality requirements before acceptance or installation.
- Monitor subcontractors' quality performance and compliance with project requirements.
- Support testing, commissioning, mechanical completion, and final project handover documentation.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within oil and gas or industrial construction.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and relevant oil and gas standards.
- Familiarity with welding, piping, fabrication, civil works, or mechanical installation.
- Relevant quality management or inspection certifications will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
