About the Role
Hitech Construction Company Limited, an industry leader in building and civil engineering across Nigeria since 1988, is looking for a dedicated QA/QC Engineer to join our dynamic team. Operating from headquarters in Lagos and regional offices in Abuja, Ibadan, and Benin City, we deliver landmark infrastructure projects. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in upholding our rigorous quality standards, ensuring that every phase of construction meets elite engineering benchmarks and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor comprehensive QA/QC procedures specifically for pile foundations, piers, pier caps, precast segments, and station buildings.
- Conduct rigorous site inspections and quality checks to guarantee all works strictly comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards.
- Review and evaluate method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), material test reports, and all associated quality documentation.
- Continuously monitor construction materials, overall workmanship, and daily testing activities throughout the project execution lifecycle.
- Identify non-conformities proactively and drive the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate seamlessly with site engineers, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams to foster a culture of uncompromising quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering field from a recognized institution.
- Proven professional QA/QC experience focusing heavily on piling and major structural construction works.
- Demonstrated practical experience with pile foundations, piers, pier caps, precast segments, and station buildings is essential.
- Strong, comprehensive knowledge of construction inspection methodologies, laboratory testing, and quality control procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail, robust analytical skills, and the proven ability to thrive in a demanding, site-based environment.
