About the Role
GPI Power Nigeria Limited, a prominent subsidiary of Green Power International Pvt. Ltd., specializes in delivering comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) turnkey solutions for gas-based power plants up to 100 MW. We are currently seeking a dedicated and results-driven Mechanical Project Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee mechanical engineering operations, ensuring our innovative power projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee mechanical engineering aspects of gas-based power plant EPC projects from initiation to commissioning.
- Coordinate project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure adherence to strict timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, civil, and procurement departments.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and vendor documentation for mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ensure strict compliance with quality assurance and health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards on all project sites.
- Identify potential technical bottlenecks and resolve engineering challenges swiftly and analytically.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in project engineering, preferably within the power or EPC sector.
- Strong technical, analytical, and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project planning, resource allocation, and execution methodologies.
