About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established private university located in Oke-Ila Orangun, Osun State, currently operating from its take-off site in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on June 29, 2026, our institution was founded by Bishop Felix Owolabi and Right Rev'd Dr. (Mrs.) Temitayo Owolabi to widen access to quality higher education and prepare graduates for a fast-changing world. We are seeking a visionary and distinguished Professor of Cybersecurity to join our dynamic Faculty of Science and Computing and help shape the future of tech education in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Cybersecurity and the broader Faculty of Science and Computing.
- Teach, mentor, and inspire undergraduate and postgraduate students using innovative pedagogical approaches.
- Successfully supervise postgraduate students at Master and Ph.D. levels to foster rigorous academic research.
- Drive cutting-edge research initiatives and actively secure competitive research grants and international fellowships.
- Contribute significantly to curriculum development, departmental administration, and institutional growth.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree from a reputable university with a specialized focus in Cybersecurity or a closely related computing discipline.
- Demonstrated evidence of outstanding academic leadership with a minimum of 25 scholarly publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- At least 12 years of full-time post-qualification teaching, research, and administrative experience in a tertiary institution.
- Proven track record of successfully supervising postgraduate students to completion.
- Active possession of relevant professional certifications and qualifications in the field of cybersecurity.
