About the Role
Aquatix Pharmaceutical Industry, a leading and rapidly growing Nigerian pharmaceutical company based in Ikeja, Lagos, is seeking a skilled and ambitious Production Pharmacist. Since 2008, we have been committed to providing high-quality, affordable pharmaceutical formulations to the Nigerian healthcare market. In this vital role, you will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards to deliver safe, effective products to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily pharmaceutical manufacturing activities in accordance with approved production schedules.
- Ensure manufacturing operations strictly follow approved SOPs, batch manufacturing instructions, and GMP requirements.
- Monitor critical production processes including dispensing, granulation, drying, milling, compression, coating, capsule filling, and packing.
- Perform proper line clearance and verify equipment cleanliness and operational readiness before production begins.
- Review and complete production documentation, including BMRs, equipment usage logs, and cleaning records.
- Collaborate closely with QA and QC departments to monitor in-process parameters and investigate production deviations.
- Enforce compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental standards while minimizing material wastage to improve operational efficiency.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from a recognized institution.
- Must be a registered pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and possess a valid practicing licence.
- Strong working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and pharmaceutical manufacturing procedures.
- Hands-on experience in granulation, tablet compression, coating, capsule filling, and packing.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, organizational, and team-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
