About the Role
MG Vowgas Group, a leading wholly Nigerian engineering, procurement, and construction company, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Procurement & Supply Chain Manager. In this pivotal role, you will lead our supply chain operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of critical materials and services for major oil and gas, marine, and industrial projects while championing Nigerian content development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute project-specific procurement strategies aligned with engineering deliverables, budgets, and schedules.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement of engineering materials, mechanical equipment, piping components, structural steel, and specialist services.
- Identify, prequalify, and manage local and international suppliers, OEMs, and subcontractors.
- Lead high-stakes commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and robust cost-control measures.
- Manage purchase orders, service agreements, logistics, customs clearance, and long-lead item tracking.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian content regulations, HSE standards, and quality specifications.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the procurement and supply chain team.
- MSc or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity within EPC, Oil & Gas, or Construction environments.
- Strong expertise in technical material requisitions, BOQs, vendor evaluation, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in ERP procurement systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, MCIPS, or CPSM are highly preferred.
