About the Role
Taidob College, a premier government-approved private secondary school located in Abeokuta, Ogun State, is seeking a passionate and qualified Physics Tutor to join our esteemed academic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping young minds, fostering a deep appreciation for the sciences, and preparing students for outstanding success in both internal and external examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, interactive Physics lessons in line with the approved secondary school curriculum.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, practical activities, assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Conduct safe and effective laboratory practicals to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications.
- Assess students' academic performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement targeted interventions for learning difficulties.
- Prepare students adequately for WAEC, NECO, and other relevant examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and overall academic progress.
- Encourage scientific reasoning, curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students.
- Ensure proper classroom management and promote responsible usage of laboratory equipment.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, school events, and other professional duties assigned by management.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Education (Physics), or a closely related discipline.
- Relevant teaching certifications (e.g., TRCN) will be a strong added advantage.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school Physics curriculum.
