About the Role
The Onstream Group is a globally recognized service provider with over 30 years of excellence in the oil and gas industry, specializing in niche recruitment and project solutions. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Offshore Surveyor to join our client's Survey and Geospatial Operations Team in Nigeria on a permanent basis. In this vital supervisory role, you will balance onshore planning with offshore execution, driving the successful delivery of diverse geophysical and hydrographic survey projects while maintaining the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate comprehensive onshore and offshore survey operations to ensure flawless data acquisition and accurate reporting.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams utilizing advanced equipment, including GNSS, USBL, multibeam echosounders, side-scan sonar, and sub-bottom profilers.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of multiple survey projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to exacting client specifications.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal departments, clients, and subcontractors to effectively manage resources, logistics, and expectations.
- Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards across all project phases.
- Mentor junior survey personnel, promoting adherence to corporate procedures and emerging industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Hydrography, Geophysics, Surveying, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in offshore and onshore survey operations, with at least 2 years in a dedicated supervisory or project management capacity.
- High proficiency in industry-standard survey software such as QINSy, EIVA, Hypack, and Caris, alongside advanced data processing techniques.
- Possession of valid offshore certifications, including an OGUK medical and BOSIET/FOET credentials.
- Demonstrated expertise in asset integrity, pipeline inspection, or subsea construction support surveys.
