About the Role
Westpaq Engineering Nigeria Limited (WPQ) is a leading integrated global management consulting and engineering services provider specializing in the oil and gas energy sector. We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Offshore Dimensional Inspector to support our offshore quality control operations. In this critical role, you will ensure that all piping and structural components meet the highest standards of precision, safety, and regulatory compliance by verifying measurements against approved engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform rigorous dimensional inspections of piping spools, structural components, supports, and offshore platforms.
- Verify alignment, elevation, level, orientation, and critical dimensions against approved engineering drawings and specifications.
- Inspect flange orientation, bolt-hole alignment, branch connections, and complex tie-in points.
- Conduct thorough dimensional checks before and after fit-up, welding, and final installation phases.
- Identify, document, and report any dimensional deviations and non-conformities promptly.
- Prepare and maintain accurate Dimensional Inspection Reports and comprehensive as-built records.
- Collaborate closely with QC, Engineering, and Construction teams to swiftly resolve dimensional issues.
- Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated and certified for offshore use.
- Minimum of an NTC, OND, HND, or B.Sc. in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of proven experience in dimensional inspection, piping fabrication, or structural works within the oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrated practical experience working in offshore fabrication and construction environments.
- Strong ability to accurately interpret isometric, structural, and fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word, for reporting and documentation.
