About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established private university located in Oke-Ila Orangun, Osun State, currently operating from its take-off site in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in June 2026, our institution is dedicated to widening access to quality higher education and preparing graduates for a fast-changing digital world. We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator I to join our dynamic ICT Unit and ensure the seamless operation of our campus-wide network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, and maintain robust local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless systems across the university.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and software issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement and maintain comprehensive network security protocols, firewalls, and data backup systems to protect institutional assets.
- Collaborate with the ICT team to deploy new technological solutions and upgrade existing network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and guidance to university staff and students utilizing network resources.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topologies, and inventory assets.
- Possession of a good honours degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Informatics, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification professional experience, preferably within a university or comparable higher education institution.
- Working knowledge of web design packages and tools will be considered an added advantage.
