About the Role
Northwest Petroleum & Gas Company Limited, a leading name in Nigeria's oil and gas sector since 1998, is seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to join our dynamic Information Technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient network connectivity across all our business locations, driving operational excellence and supporting our continuous business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Configure, administer, and maintain enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and VPNs.
- Manage comprehensive LAN, WAN, WLAN, and internet connectivity across all company operational sites.
- Proactively monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to identify and resolve issues swiftly.
- Administer firewall rules, access controls, network segmentation, and robust security policies.
- Collaborate with Internet Service Providers and technology vendors to manage SLAs and coordinate installations.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, IP schedules, device inventories, and detailed technical documentation.
- Provide second-level technical support for network incidents and collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven practical experience in enterprise network administration and infrastructure support.
- Strong expertise in TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and firewall administration.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE/FCP, or CompTIA Network+ are a strong advantage.
