We are currently looking for a results-driven Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our Tax Practice in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will identify planning opportunities, help clients fulfill compliance responsibilities, avoid penalties, and minimize tax burdens while driving innovative regulatory solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Advise on multiple, challenging regulatory and tax advisory engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research to assess the impact of legislative changes and international best practices.
- Draft tax alerts, regulatory updates, and compliance reports to keep clients and internal teams informed.
- Support clients in maintaining regulatory compliance, including timely preparation and submission of annual returns and statutory filings.
- Liaise with regulators, assist clients in obtaining necessary licenses, and ensure prompt responses to regulatory circulars.
- Identify, understand, and escalate compliance risk events while implementing root-cause solutions.
- Collaborate on business development initiatives, identify cross-selling opportunities, and nurture client relationships.
- Coordinate internal training and capacity-building programs covering key compliance and regulatory developments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B) with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant regulatory compliance, tax, or legal advisory experience within a professional services environment.
- Exceptional managerial, organizational, and written communication skills.
