About the Role
Sayed Farms Limited, a prominent leader in the Nigerian poultry and frozen food distribution sector since 2004, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor. In this vital role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of critical mechanical equipment and systems across our poultry farm operations, ensuring maximum uptime, equipment reliability, and seamless production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems across poultry farms.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns and operational disruptions.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and coordinate timely repairs of poultry equipment, feeders, drinkers, ventilation systems, generators, pumps, and related machinery.
- Supervise maintenance technicians, allocate duties, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to maintenance procedures.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify potential mechanical failures to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the availability and proper management of mechanical spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards during maintenance activities and ensure proper use of tools and personal protective equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports on equipment breakdowns, repairs, spare parts consumption, and maintenance costs.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within poultry farms, agribusiness, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs.
- Prior experience maintaining poultry farm equipment, including feeding and ventilation systems, will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise technicians, coordinate maintenance activities, and manage spare parts effectively.
- Strong analytical, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of workplace safety standards.
