About the Role
Sayed Farms Limited, a leading name in the Nigerian poultry and frozen food sector since 2004, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Maintenance Section Head with an electrical engineering focus for our feedmill operations. In this vital leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing plant maintenance, maximizing equipment reliability, managing industrial utilities, and controlling maintenance budgets to ensure seamless production and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the installation, inspection, servicing, and repair of feedmill machinery, electrical systems, and related production equipment.
- Develop and implement robust preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to minimize operational interruptions.
- Oversee critical feedmill equipment including hammer mills, pelletizers, mixers, conveyors, boilers, and packing machines.
- Manage industrial utilities such as power generation, electrical distribution, and compressors.
- Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance technicians to ensure the timely and safe execution of tasks.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to schedule maintenance windows and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), manage spare parts inventory, and ensure strict compliance with health and safety standards.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in maintenance management within feedmill, FMCG, or manufacturing environments.
- Active professional registration or certification with COREN, NSE, or other recognized engineering bodies.
- Extensive expertise in industrial maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and computerized maintenance management systems.
- Strong command of industrial utilities, power generation, and electrical distribution networks.
- Proven background in maintenance budgeting, CAPEX/OPEX planning, and financial cost control.
