About the Role
Culture Kitchen is a vibrant, cultural-themed restaurant located in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, specializing in authentic Eastern Nigerian cuisine and offering an immersive village experience. We are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team and ensure the physical upkeep of our unique dining environment. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our rustic aesthetic, equipment functionality, and overall facility safety to deliver an uninterrupted, top-tier guest experience.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of restaurant facilities, electrical systems, plumbing, and restaurant equipment.
- Perform prompt preventative maintenance and minor repairs on furniture, fixtures, and kitchen appliances.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for major specialized repairs and scheduled facility upgrades.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, inventory of spare parts, and equipment servicing schedules.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are strictly met across the restaurant premises.
- Respond swiftly to emergency repair requests from management or staff during operating hours.
- Minimum of OND, Trade Test certification, or a relevant qualification in facilities management, engineering, or a related trade.
- Proven working experience as a maintenance officer or technician, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to urgent maintenance needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a resident of Lagos (proximity to Lekki Phase 1 is an added advantage).
