About the Role
Platform Finance Limited is a newly established, CBN-approved financial institution providing innovative loans, investment, and asset management services. Located in the heart of Victoria Island, Lagos State, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and corporate governance. We are currently looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Legal & Compliance Intern (NYSC) to support our legal and compliance unit.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain an organized repository of legal and regulatory documents, ensuring proper retention of contracts, licenses, correspondence, and records.
- Review contracts and agreements prior to execution, maintaining an active register and monitoring expiry and renewal dates.
- Ensure third-party arrangements contain appropriate confidentiality, liability, service-level, and termination provisions.
- Conduct appropriate customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) where applicable.
- Monitor transactions for potential suspicious or unusual activities and escalate suspected breaches in accordance with approved procedures.
- Must be a current or prospective NYSC corps member currently serving or about to commence service in Lagos.
- Possess a Bachelor Degree in Law (LL.B) or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and legal research tools.
- Gain hands-on experience in financial regulatory compliance and corporate law within a fast-paced fintech environment.
