About the Role
Amadeus University, Amizi, a newly licensed private institution committed to 21st-century academic innovation and high ethical standards, is seeking a qualified and dynamic Lecturer II in Human Anatomy to join our esteemed Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. In this role, you will shape the next generation of medical and allied health professionals through rigorous instruction, hands-on laboratory supervision, and impactful research aligned with NUC and MDCN standards.
Key Responsibilities- Teach assigned undergraduate courses in Human Anatomy, conducting lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory demonstrations for MBBS, BDS, and Allied Health Science students.
- Prepare comprehensive lecture materials, laboratory manuals, and assessments in compliance with National Universities Commission and regulatory guidelines.
- Set, invigilate, and grade continuous assessments and professional examinations, actively participating in OSPE and OSCE evaluations.
- Supervise practical sessions, enforce laboratory safety protocols, and ensure proper maintenance of anatomical equipment and specimens.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research, targeting peer-reviewed publications and engaging in departmental seminars and journal clubs.
- Provide academic advising to students, maintain accurate records, and contribute to departmental accreditation and quality assurance activities.
- Commit to professional development by attending academic conferences, workshops, and pursuing advanced research goals.
- A Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) or a Master's degree in Human Anatomy or a closely related medical field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of three (3) years of teaching and research experience as an Assistant Lecturer or equivalent in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated evidence of active research interests, scholarly publications, and contributions to the academic discipline.
