About the Role
De Tastee Group, a leading name in Nigeria's hospitality and quick-service restaurant industry, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our high standards of food production and guest satisfaction by ensuring all kitchen and gas equipment operates safely and efficiently across our strategic branch locations.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot the company's gas and kitchen equipment to guarantee safe and efficient operations.
- Collaborate closely with restaurant managers and operational stakeholders to minimize equipment downtime and optimize performance.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
- Conduct regular, thorough equipment inspections to proactively identify and resolve potential mechanical or electrical issues.
- Handle any other assigned technical duties in support of facility and kitchen operations.
- Minimum of OND, Trade Test, or equivalent certification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen and gas equipment within the hospitality or QSR sector.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.
