About the Role
A&R Group, a dynamic Nigerian conglomerate operating across real estate, hospitality, mining, and construction, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join our growing Projects & Development department. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the supervision, coordination, and monitoring of our premier real estate development projects across Nigeria, ensuring that every structure reflects our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor daily construction activities across assigned development sites to ensure work aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate seamlessly with contractors, consultants, and suppliers while tracking project schedules and milestones.
- Perform rigorous quality assurance inspections on materials, structural works, finishes, and installations to prevent substandard execution.
- Prepare accurate daily and comprehensive weekly progress reports, including site photographs and inventory tracking.
- Enforce strict health and safety compliance, ensuring all personnel utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Monitor material usage closely to minimize wastage and report any discrepancies promptly to management.
- B.Sc. or HND in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in construction site supervision or real estate development.
- Solid foundational knowledge of building construction processes, materials, and structural drawing interpretation.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
- Willingness and readiness to visit and monitor multiple project sites as required by operations.
